Nine years later, a botched robbery in Wandorf (North Inkton), which left one of the perpetrators dead, another under house arrest and forced the third into hiding, a former bank robber, Michael Townley, was presumed dead. in North Yankton and was placed under witness protection by corrupt FIB client Dave Norton, a close friend of his, and he and his family moved to Los Santos (San Andreas) under a new identity: "Michael de Santa". Franklin Clinton, who works as a car salesman at a car dealership, along with his friend Lamar Davis, is asked to repossess a car belonging to his son, Michael, Jimmy, who was late paying for the acquisition. Concluding that his son is about to become a victim of credit fraud, Michael hides in the car and confronts Franklin. When this path leads to the agency, it causes a car to crash into the frame of the building. Clinton is expelled, but he and De Santa are friends.
